CBD Benefits
Chronic Pain
Chronic pain is pain that lasts for over three months. You may feel the pain all the time or it may come and go. Today, 1 in 4 adults in America live with arthritis. Rx Sports CBD based pain killers provide a superior alternative to acetaminophen and other synthetic drugs. You should feel the effects of Rx Sports topicals within 30 minutes. It may help with soreness from inflamed muscles or relieve painful arthritic joints.
Anxiety & Depression
Cognitive behavioral therapy and antidepressants alone may not be sufficient to combat anxiety. In a survey of more than 2,000 people, more than 1 in 6 reported using CBD to manage depression. Almost two-thirds of them said it worked very well or moderately well. The study published in 2022 on young people that showed a benefit for anxiety symptoms also found significant improvement in depression symptoms.
Addiction
A recent study has revealed that consistently ingesting regulated amounts of CBD can reduce withdrawal-induced cravings. It can also significantly ease any anxiety, restlessness and irritability that comes with transitioning out of substance abuse into sobriety.
Insomnia
If your insomnia is due to external factors or related conditions, CBD may help by treating the causes of sleeplessness. Research shows that oral CBD administration extended the sleep period.
Are Rx Sports CBD products for you?
You have questions. We have answers.
Below are answers to common CBD related questions.
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the 100+ cannabinoids naturally produced by both hemp and marijuana (both of which are recognized as cannabis). CBD is highly therapeutic, non-addictive, and (despite being extracted from cannabis) is non-intoxicating. Cannabinoids (like CBD) act on receptors found throughout the body, allowing for its scientifically-backed, therapeutic benefits.
Will CBD get me high?
CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning you cannot get stoned or high from using it. Our products are made using broad-spectrum CBD oil, meaning it includes all of the important cannabinoids and terpenes found in the hemp plant, except for the intoxicating cannabinoid, THC.
Is CBD legal?
Yes, as of December 2018, hemp-derived CBD is protected under the Farm Bill Act, and legal in all 50 states.
Will I test positive for drugs if I use Rx Sports products?
No. Drug tests check for the presence of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a compound in cannabis. Rx Sports products are THC-free, meaning they contain 0% THC (less than 0.3% of THC allowable by law) tested and verified by third party testing.
What are cannabinoids?
There are two different type of cannabinoids. There are endocannabinoids, which are naturally occurring in the human body. And there are phytocannabinoids, which are produced by plants (namely hemp and marijuana). CBD, THC, CBN, and CBG are all examples of phytocannabinoids (often referred to as simply cannabinoids). Cannabinoids are molecules that bind to and activate different receptors in cells.
What are terpenes?
The minuscule glands (or trichomes) of the hemp plant that excrete cannabinoids also produce terpenes., which are what give hemp and marijuana their distinct aromas. They are not exclusively found in cannabis, but can be found throughout nature. In addition to providing cannabis with its unique scent, terpenes also have multiple therapeutic benefits. Research shows that cannabinoids (like CBD) and terpenes have what’s called an “entourage effect”, meaning they are more effective at relieving pain, inflammation, anxiety, and much more when they’re combined than when they are used independently.
Why are terpenes important?
Simply put, terpenes make CBD far more effective in relieving pain, inflammation, and a variety of other ailments.
What is the entourage effect?
The entourage effect is the relationship that naturally exists between cannabinoids and terpenes. It means that no one terpene or cannabinoid is as therapeutic as the sum of their parts. In other words, CBD on its own (as an isolate) is not as therapeutically effective as when combined with other cannabinoids and terpenes.
Can Rx Sports products be considered a medical expense?
CBD products, including Rx Sports, are not typically classified as a medical expense under most insurance plans or IRS guidelines. However, if CBD is used to help with a specific medical condition, it may be considered a medical expense for tax purposes or through certain health savings accounts.
Is CBD safe for teens?
The World Health Organization has concluded that CBD is generally safe for teens. However, Rx Sports advises that products not be used under age 14.
Are there any negative side effects of CBD?
Though it’s often well-tolerated, CBD can cause side effects, such as dry mouth, diarrhea, reduced appetite, drowsiness and fatigue. CBD can also interact with other medications you’re taking, such as blood thinners. Another cause for concern is the unreliability of the purity and dosage of CBD in products.
How long does it take for CBD to kick in?
When kept under the tongue, tinctures are typically absorbed within 30 seconds, and the effects are felt within 15 minutes. When ingesting CBD (i.e., swallowing it or consuming a food that contains CBD), you can expect to feel the effects within about 45 minutes to two hours. Topicals, when applied to affected areas, tend to provide relief within 3-5 minutes.
